In his twenty-first NBA season, LeBron James is still defying Father Time.
Early in the first quarter of Game 2, the Los Angeles Lakers player stuffed Jamal Murray on a dunk. James met the Denver Nuggets guard at the rim with his right hand, sending the ball out of bounds as he leaped for a one-handed jam.
James proceeded to stare at the Lakers bench after the play as his teammates stared back in disbelief. Lakers great Magic Johnson also reacted to the play.
For James, that was not the only standout performance of the evening.
In the final seconds of the first half of Game 2, James dribbled once in the direction of the basket after collecting an outlet ball from Anthony Davis. The next move by Nuggets guard Kentavious Caldwell-Pope to wrap up James was an attempt to draw a foul and thwart a layup. But with 1:18 left in the half, James forced his way through to score, giving the Lakers a 55-44 lead.
