SAD NEWS: It Is With Heavy Hearts That We Announce The Passing Away Of ”Pat Kelsey” Who Was Involved In a Horrible…

It turns out that Mark Pope, the new head coach of Kentucky Basketball, will have a meeting with Jayden Quaintance on Tuesday, as Jamie Shaw reports.

Thus, it’s possible that Kentucky has more top-10 prospects left.

The likelihood is high that the Kentucky Wildcats will play Jayden Quaintance again next season, unless Penny Hardaway gets his way.

Quaintance is expected to see Hardaway and the Memphis Tigers this weekend, per ESPN’s Jeff Borzello. It follows last week’s visit with the Louisville Cardinals.

Quaintance is also planning a trip to see John Calipari and the Arkansas Razorbacks, though that hasn’t been confirmed yet.

On3 currently has the 6-foot-9, 230-pound Quaintance ranked seventh overall in the 2024 class. Because the 16-year-old center must attend college for two years before becoming eligible for the 2026 NBA Draft, one could argue that he is the class’s most significant prospect. Just picture the appearance of a player similar to Quaintance in Year 2.

Kentucky doesn’t seem to be a major contender for Quaintance anymore, especially in light of Mark Pope’s acquisition of Amari Williams and his aggressive pursuit of Great Osobor in the frontcourt.

I’d hazard to guess that a lot of Kentucky supporters would prefer to see Quaintance in the AAC rather than at Louisville or Arkansas, even though it’s difficult to cheer for Penny.
