Worksop Town’s facile 2-0 victory at Atherton Collieries guaranteed them a spot in the Premier Division play-offs.
This made the results from other matches essentially meaningless. Ashton United lost 3-1 against Marine, which guaranteed Marine a home play-off semifinal matchup against Rylands, who had defeated Ilkeston Town 2-0 at home.
The most competitive match took place in the East Division, as Hebburn Town’s 2-0 victory over Sheffield ultimately sealed the league title.
They were holding their closest rivals, Stockton Town, to goalless draws at the half. Stockton went on to win 4-0 at Belper Town, but the Hebburn result rendered them useless.
In the play-offs, Stockton will now take on Carlton Town, while Dunston will host Pontefract Collieries. The latter team lost out on a home semifinal match after drew 2-2 at Newton Aycliffe despite having the advantage.
On the other hand, a 1-1 draw at Consett helped Bridlington Town avoid relegation based on goal differential.
They hung on to stay up after Brighouse Town had won 2-0 at home to Carlton Town to bring themselves level on points.
