Five (and change) left to go after one. Now that April is safely behind us, let’s present the inaugural set of monthly prizes for the Major League Baseball season of 2024.
Here are the eight celebrities, both well-known figures and up-and-coming talents, who were recognized for their achievements in March and April. The Players of the Month award is being given out by Chevrolet first.
Following his 2023 AL Rookie of the Year performance in which he hit 28 home runs over 150 games, Henderson tied Mike Trout for the most home runs in Major League Baseball with 10 in the first month of 2024. With a.291/.356/.624 slash line from the leadoff position, he has kept up with the Orioles’ relentless lineup. Furthermore, he has already stolen six bases this season after finishing with ten last season, making his stellar debut appear easy.
A man who is self-evident. Since he’s been outperforming the rest of baseball, it only seems fitting that Betts made the first plate appearance of the 2024 regular season on March 20. He led all players with at least 100 plate appearances in April and March in terms of OPS (1.101), OPS+ (214), on-base percentage (.477), and batting average (.368). After that, you can add two triples, six home runs, ten doubles, and, oh, ten more walks (26) than strikeouts (16).
