The Miami women’s basketball team is thrilled to announce the addition of Darrione Rogers, a transfer from Mississippi State who specializes in shooting. During her collegiate career, Rogers has scored 1,399 points in 125 games. She played three seasons at DePaul before finishing her last campaign in Starkville.
“Darrione is a very welcome addition to our team,” Tricia Cullop, head coach, stated. She is a skilled scorer with versatility on the perimeter. She is an excellent teammate and leader with a high basketball IQ. Her wealth of experience is something else I adore about her.
She participated in a team-high 36 games for Mississippi State the previous season, averaging 22.7 minutes and 8.1 points per game. A year earlier, Rogers scored in double figures 14 times, including a late-season performance against Missouri, when he reached 22 points twice.
After graduating from DePaul, ESPN ranked the Chicago, Illinois, native as the nation’s No. 19 transfer recruit. She was named to the 2023 All-Big East Second Team and the 2021 Big East All-Freshman team while residing in Lincoln Park.
She had an incredible high school career, earning over 2,000 points to rank as an honorable mention MaxPreps All-American from Lake Park West High School.
