Even Patrick Beverley, a veteran of the Milwaukee Bucks, was aware that the league would punish him severely for his antics both during and during their season-ending Game 6 loss to the Indiana Pacers. As reported, the NBA has rendered a decision on Beverley’s unacceptable actions, and the experienced player will now have to miss the opening of the 2024–25 campaign.
Beverley was given a four-game suspension by the league on Thursday for “forcefully throwing a basketball” at Pacers supporters. The mysterious guard is also receiving punishment for acting in a “inappropriate” manner when speaking with an ESPN reporter after the game:
Additionally, Beverley’s payment for these four games would be deducted, according to the press release. This would come to about $100,000 based on his contract that he had with the Bucks during the previous campaign.
It is important to remember that Beverley will be a free agent this summer, so there’s a good chance he will serve out his suspension with a different team the following year.
