The Milwaukee Bucks still have two picks in the upcoming 2024 NBA Draft, despite their lack of luck in the lottery. If everything goes as planned, Zach Edey, a big man for the Purdue Boilermakers, can be considered by the front office.
Edey, who was born in Canada, initially gained notoriety when he relocated to Florida to play high school basketball for IMG Academy. Later on, he would decide to play for Purdue rather than Baylor and Santa Clara.
The 7’4′′ big guy didn’t do much to stick out in his debut season at Purdue, but over the years, he developed into a formidable player. In 39 Big Ten games during his final season, Edey averaged 25.2 points, 12.2 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 2.2 blocks. In addition, he made 62% of his field goals and 71% of his free throw attempts from the charity stripe.
Edey eventually led the Boilermakers throughout March Madness and won over all the teams they faced until the championship round. In that game, Purdue met the UConn Huskies, but lost to them with a score of 75-60. While his teammates didn’t make much of an impact that contest, Edey posted 37 points and 10 rebounds for his team.
