Football Insider has been informed by insiders that Leeds United needs to recover a staggering £150 million in player sales if they are not successful in being promoted back to the Premier League.

If they lose their game in the play-off final at Wembley versus Southampton, a spectacular fire sale is scheduled at Elland Road.

Leeds’s most recent financial statements showed a £33.7 million loss following player sales, and they are reputedly owed £190 million for moves made under the Andrea Radrizzani period.

Football Insider reported earlier this month that if the Whites don’t get promoted, they might have to sell some of their best players because they owe £73.6 million in unpaid transfer fees that must be paid by the end of June.

As the consequences of losing are even more severe, Daniel Farke’s team has an opportunity to ensure that might not be necessary if they can defeat Southampton in the play-off final.
