CMA Fest kicked off in Nashville on June 6 with a wild rush to Broadway. Performers were setting up shop in the downtown area, along the river, and later that evening at Nissan Stadium. Despite the intense heat in Nashville, fans of country music remained unfazed.
Meanwhile, a line for Spotify House was forming around the corner at Ole Red. Numerous performers would take the main stage and the rooftop to showcase their newest singles as well as timeless favorites. Up-and-coming performers like Tanner Adell, Max McNown, and Mackenzie Carpenter shared the stage with well-known performers like Jordan Davis, Luke Bryan, and Tyler Hubbard. The fusion of these two distinct country music genres offers audiences an unforgettable experience.
Old Dominion played a dynamic set to start Spotify House. They demonstrated why they continue to win Group of the Year at several award shows for country music. Their fantastic live performance had the audience dancing and singing along. This was their tenth CMA Fest, according to frontman Matthew Ramsey, “as a successful band.” At ten in the morning, they celebrated with a tequila shot and a fun yet energetic show.
At CMA Fest, Spotify House is renowned for showcasing amazing up-and-coming artists, and this year was no exception. With her incredibly catchy debut single “Buckle Bunny,” Tanner Adell made her musical debut. Mackenzie Carpenter then brought the girly-pop energy of Old Dominion to life, flawlessly mirroring the band’s previous enthusiasm.
