Tonight at Club Helensvale on Australia’s Gold Coast, the World Bowls Series and the Official World Rankings were officially launched.
Australia’s Kelsey Cottrell and Aron Sherriff emerged as the new World Rankings’ top two bowlers, making them the No. 1 bowlers in the world.
The World Bowls Series website, www.worldbowlsseries.com, now has a complete list of the top 50 players from the Official World Rankings along with details on the events that went into creating these rankings.
The official calendar of sanctioned events for the entire year that links to the official World Rankings is called the WBS. World Bowls and Tier 5 Ventures are partners in the endeavor. The approved events take place all over the world and consist of both recent and novel occurrences.
Twenty-nine (29) sanctioned events made up the inaugural WBS in 2024. The events are categorized into distinct tiers according to their size, location, and significance for the game of bowls.
WBS aims to raise bowls’ visibility and brand, highlight the top players in the sport, hasten the sport’s international recognition, and introduce World Rankings that will increase awareness of and interest in bowls.
