SAD NEWS: It Is With Pain And Heavy Hearts That Longhorns Announce The Passing Away Of Coach ”Steve Sarkisian” Who Was Involved In a Horrible…

Next week, SEC Media Days will take place in Dallas to mark the official admission of Texas and Oklahoma, two of the top teams in college football, to the league. Along with other returning stars, the preseason All-SEC team will feature a number of Longhorns and Sooners, leading the conference’s plethora of rated programs.

The Associated Press preseason top 25 may include as much as half of the 16 teams in the SEC. Texas recently made their first trip to the playoffs, and Oklahoma finished Brent Venables’ second season in charge with ten victories.

Expect the preseason All-SEC team to be riddled with talent from Georgia, Alabama and LSU, along with other top-end teams within a league that has produced more NFL Draft picks than any other nationally over the last decade and change.

A Florida squad looking for momentum suffered a shattering setback when Etienne transferred within the conference to Georgia. In fact, if Etienne had stayed put, the Gators probably would have had two all-league backs. The productive rushing back’s early-career seasons of 750 yards each were accomplished in Gainesville, and his transfer to another college may affect both teams’ prospects for 2024.
