Cody Bellinger maintained his faith in the team even after the Chicago Cubs’ July 2 loss left them eight games below.500.
Although the Cubs were only four weeks away from the July 30 trade deadline, he recognized that they had high expectations going into the season and that they still did. Additionally, he believed that he had to contribute more to the turnaround.
Bellinger declared, “I want to do more.” That’s what I try my best to do. I believe I am capable of much more.
