In an attempt to make up for a string of postponements, Truro hosted the game in Gloucester to start a series of three games in four evenings.
Arkell Brad Ash extended the Gulls’ lead fifteen minutes after Jude-Boyd gave the team the lead in the twenty-third minute.
Ed Palmer, a former Torquay defender, headed a goal back in stoppage time.
Ten minutes after halftime, Dan Sullivan, another former Torquay player, struck the post for Truro.
With the victory, Torquay climbs up to 18th place, one point above of Truro, following the club’s Friday administration.
With three games remaining, the Gulls, who had ten points docked due to their financial issues, are five points above the relegation zone.
With six games remaining, Truro is four points from safety. On Wednesday night, they play a crucial match at the foot of the table against 20th-placed Eastbourne Borough, who are separated by three points.
The Glovers know that a victory over Yeovil Town on Thursday would secure the league title and an instant return to the National League for the White Tigers.
