It’s been one of the main complaints directed towards the Arkansas baseball club this season. To put it mildly, the performance at the plate has been dismal, but if it wasn’t obvious to some, it should be right now.

Conversely, the numbers for Arkansas pitching are displayed on the same graph. They are the greatest in the nation in almost every category, in addition to being the best in the competition. Brady Tygart’s shoulder injury means that the Hogs will be missing some depth this weekend, but Arkansas should have enough to make it through the regional.
When using RISP, Arkansas has had the least amount of luck. Under 200 in conference play, they are. Additionally, there have been occasions when they have had the chance to hit when they really needed to.
When it comes to walks, Arkansas is among the best teams in the nation. Players who reached on a walk have accounted for a large portion of Arkansas’s RISP, but they weren’t given enough opportunities to capitalize. The Hogs’ lack of clutch play in those circumstances would have gone unnoticed by Arkansas supporters.
Hopefully, this Arkansas baseball team’s clutch factor will be enhanced by the fact that they are in the NCAA tournament and are unsure of their next game.
