SO SAD: Worst Nightmare For Kansas as ‘Patrick Mahomes’ Perish Along Side Two Stars In a Fatal Accident…

In the sports world, Patrick Mahomes is still unrivaled. The quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs triumphantly defended his ESPYS title for Best Male Athlete on Thursday night, defeating Connor McDavid, Shohei Ohtani, and Scottie Scheffler to earn the honor twice in a row.

The three-time Super Bowl MVP was not in attendance at Los Angeles’ Dolby Theatre, so his head coach and commercial co-star, Andy Reid, accepted the hardware on his behalf. Mahomes did make sure to send a message to his supporters, however.

“Incredible athletes across the board in this category,” he posted on X. “Blessed and honored to bring home this award again. Thanks to the fans and ESPYS. Big dawg Andy crushed too.”

After winning his second Best Male Athlete title, Mahomes joins a select group of guys in the rarefied club of only three men in history: Lance Armstrong, LeBron James, and Tiger Woods.

He had to defeat a stellar group of athletes over the course of the last two years in order to pull off this remarkable feat. The group included the record-breaking Aaron Judge, the world’s best soccer player, a baseball unicorn, a golfer who is having a year similar to Tiger Woods’, and the undisputed best hockey player in the world who just finished an incredible Stanley Cup Playoffs run.

No one uses the ESPYS to pad legacies, and rightly so, but standing tall among that field is incredibly special, even if Patrick Mahomes does have the advantage of being in the most popular league in American sports. No. 15 is already a legend and is being treated like it from the voting public.
