After much thought and reflection, I’ve made the difficult decision to step away from *S.W\.A.T.* after six incredible seasons. Playing Luca “Luke” Alvez has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my career, and I will always cherish the memories I’ve made with the talented cast and crew. However, after a long and fulfilling run, I feel that the time has come to move on and explore new creative opportunities.
When I first joined *S.W\.A.T.*, I was excited about bringing a complex, strong character to life. Over the years, I’ve watched Alvez grow and evolve, and I’ve had the privilege of working alongside some of the most dedicated professionals in the industry. From the action-packed moments on set to the quieter, more intimate scenes that allowed me to dig deeper into my character’s psyche, every day was an opportunity to challenge myself as an actor.
But as much as I’ve enjoyed the role, I’ve come to realize that sometimes, in order to grow professionally, it’s necessary to step outside of your comfort zone. The decision to leave was not easy—it’s always tough to part ways with something you’ve been a part of for so long—but it’s one that I feel will allow me to expand my horizons in ways that I’ve been yearning for.
While *S.W\.A.T.* has provided me with an abundance of unforgettable moments and has introduced me to countless new friends and collaborators, I’m looking forward to exploring different genres and projects that will challenge me in new ways. I want to continue to push myself as an actor, and I feel that stepping away from *S.W\.A.T.* will give me the space I need to do that. I’m excited for what the future holds and grateful for the incredible experiences this show has given me.
To the fans, thank you for your unwavering support over the years. Your passion for the show and for Alvez has been one of the most fulfilling parts of this journey. Although I’m saying goodbye to *S.W\.A.T.*, I’m excited for what’s next and hope you’ll continue to follow my journey as I take on new roles and project.
