BREAKING NEWS: Brendan Rodgers Confirms His Captain Callum McGregor To Leave And Join…

20/10/18 LADBROKES PREMIERSHIP CELTIC v HIBERNIAN (4-2) CELTIC PARK - GLASGOW Celtic's Callum McGregor (left) with manager Brendan Rodgers at full time

Callum McGregor will probably be in the squad when Celtic travel to Ibrox, according to Brendan Rodgers. The Irishman did, however, issue a warning, saying that following their last practice before Sunday’s match, they will make a final decision regarding the Celtic captain tomorrow.
That will probably be to determine if Callum should start or how many minutes they think the midfield player can and should play.

In the presence of Callum McGregor, Celtic are a completely different team. Rangers’ management have long known that in order to defeat Celtic, they need to prevent Callum from controlling the midfield.

“We’ll do one final run with Callum tomorrow on our last session, but he’s done remarkable to come back. He’s way ahead of schedule from what we thought.” he told CeltsAreHere.

It shows you his professionalism and how hard he’s worked. So he’ll be involved in the squad and if he is, it’s great news for us in every capacity.

“We’ve got a clean bill of health for the first time this season, but we’ll make a final call on that tomorrow.”

Celtic know a win at Ibrox would be a massive shot in the arm to their title hopes, but it’s going to be a very tricky game for the Bhoys in green.

Callum coming back in is a piece of the puzzle that Celtic fans wanted to see slot back into things. Tomoki Iwata has performed well in Callum’s absence but when it comes to the experience of this game, Callum is the man!
