Following a terrible performance against the Sharks, Darren Lockyer criticized the North oforward pack for their “lack of aggression”.
Despite being one of the favorites to win the championship going into the season, the Cowboys lost again on Sunday, falling to Cronulla 42–6 on the road.
Their performance was characterized by 12 mistakes and 39 missed tackles, and Jason Taumalolo’s ongoing decline was evident once more.
The Cowboys have suffered from Heilum Luki’s absence in recent weeks, and Coen Hess’s season-ending injury has left a huge void in the middle of the field.
Lockyer highlighted his dissatisfaction with the team’s energy and even questioned their defense strategy while speaking on Nine’s QLDER.
“When they’re on, they are as good as any team in the competition and particularly their attack – but they just have these lapses,” he stated.
We’ve already stated that they don’t have an 80-minute show, but they also lack a little bit of aggression. They are fulfilling their duties, but they don’t seem to be doing so intentionally, and I believe that speaks volumes, especially when facing a strong squad.
