An instate recruit committed to the Florida Gators on Thursday morning, marking the team’s fourth commitment for the Class of 2025.
Just one week after graduating from Mississippi State’s program, defensive lineman Jeramiah McCloud (6-3, 280, Havana, FL. Gadsden County) made a commitment to the Gators.
McCloud tweeted, “Gator Nation, I’m home.”
Before the Gators extended an offer to McCloud this winter, the defensive lineman was committed to the Bulldogs. Following that, he paid many visits to Gainesville.
Gerald Chatman, the defensive line coach, paid McCloud a visit on Wednesday to observe the defensive lineman in action during a practice at his school.
The Gators now have McCloud, and Jalen Wiggins, a defensive lineman, committed to play on the defensive line for the Class of 2025.
Since Chatman has put the Gators in the running for a number of elite prospects, the team is trying to bolster the defensive line in this year’s class and plans to add a few more players to the position.
McCloud joins Wiggins, receiver Josiah Abdullah, and running back Waltez Clark as members of the Class of 2025.
