By the end of this week, Nottingham Forest could receive word on the outcome of their appeal on the deduction of points.
Senior correspondent Pete O’Rourke acknowledged on the most recent episode of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast that it would be “huge” for Forest to recover any of the four points that were taken away from them in their attempt to avoid relegation this season.
The appeal hearing was held on April 24; however, there has been no word as of yet regarding the club’s success.
O’Rourke said that the decision needs to be made public as quickly as possible in order to preserve the league’s credibility, and Forest is hopeful that they will regain some ground.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s team is currently one point behind Luton Town, who are in third place in the fight to stay in the top flight, and they are hovering just above the relegation zone.
