BBC NEWS: Lyon a convenu d’un contrat de trois ans pour signer Olivier Giroud alors que les fans l’accueillent à nouveau en France…

Olivier Giroud, a striker for Milan, has announced that he would undoubtedly leave Serie A at the end of the 2023–24 season to join Los Angeles FC in Major League Soccer (MLS). Didier Deschamps has also promised that Giroud’s choice to go to the States will not affect the selection of the Milan squad for Euro 2024.

Rossoneri ahead in an AFP interview that was released on Wednesday.

After three seasons in San Siro, Giroud has been linked to a move to the United States for the majority of the 2023–24 season. In April, he signed a pre-contract with LAFC.

“Olivier has chosen a path in life and in sports. He still has a burning fire within of him despite his advanced age. Perhaps it’s also a chance to catch up with Hugo (Lloris) and his family once more.

The former captain of France is now the goalie for LAFC, having left Tottenham at the end of the previous summer to play for LAFC.

Deschamps went on to say that Giroud’s choice to join the MLS will not affect his inclusion in the summer team for the Euros.

“He wants to continue his career, but with slightly less demands than in Europe,” the French CT continued. However, since he will remain with Milan until the conclusion of the season, that doesn’t alter my decision.
