HEARTBREAKING NEWS: HE IS GONE…

At the end of the season, Leeds United defender Joe Rodon will return to Tottenham Hotspur on loan, although the most recent sources indicate that he will most likely depart the team permanently.

Since joining Daniel Farke’s team on a season-long loan last summer, Rodon has been a crucial member. The Wales international has made 47 appearances in all competitions in the 2023–24 campaign. He represented his nation in two significant tournaments.

Last summer, Leeds United was in dire need of a no. 10, and the player the 49ers pursued has since scored more goals and assists than Elland Road mainstay Crysencio Summerville.

Leeds’ inability to find a No. 10 has frequently proved to be their undoing in the 2023–24 season. Daniel Farke’s Leeds team has occasionally lacked a creative player with the ability to break through a low defensive block.

Joel Piroe was first employed in the position, but despite his early impressions, the Dutchman found it difficult to replicate his Swansea form. As a result, Georginio Rutter was utilized as a no. 10.

However, even our club-record signing has struggled recently, thus The 49ers need to get a new attacking midfielder for Farke, regardless of the division the Whites play in next season.

The manager of Leeds was connected to many teams, including Leverkusen, where Nadfiem Amiri chose to stay after flying over from Germany. Since then, Norwich’s Kenny McLean has been named Player of the Season by his team.

Matt O’Riley of Celtic was another; Leeds even put in a bid for the Danish player last summer. However, the Hoops star decided to stay put, and it appears that O’Riley made the correct choice by sticking at Parkhead.
