SAD NEWS FOR BUCKEYES: ”Carry Your Cross” You Are Fired!!!

Marvin Harrison Jr., a former football player for Ohio State, was a standout player in college. Last season, he was the top receiver in college football. To be honest, I too believed that he would be the top receiver in college football in 2022. He was the Buckeyes’ greatest weapon.

Harrison Jr. was selected by the Arizona Cardinals with the fourth overall pick in the NFL Draft just two weeks ago. He was selected in the Draft as the first non-quarterback. After his Ohio State career, he most definitely deserved it. However, he’s already had a difficult start to his rookie season.

Two weeks have passed since his draft. Fans still cannot purchase his jersey, though. He’s not going to be in Madden’s most current edition. Why? It was explained in a recent ESPN piece. Harrison Jr. still hasn’t approved the use of his likeness by the NFPA and Fanatics in his filing.

The most important query is: Why? Harrison Jr. appears to be attempting to use Fanatics as leverage to obtain additional money. Given that he committed to a $1 million non-refundable contract with Fanatics during his tenure with the Ohio State football program, he believes he is entitled to more than the $30,000 base salary that new players receive.

Harrison Jr. is entering his rookie season with an unnecessary distraction. He is a wealthy man. His father was an Indianapolis Colts wide receiver and Hall of Famer. Harrison Jr. has plenty of money, and if he performs well in the league, he will make even more.
